On Wednesday, after a dull and rainy day we went into the middle of knowhere to eat. If you have never been to Tan Hill Inn, it’s a lovely warm and friendly place and they do lovely food as well!
I took the dogs out while waiting for food, it was still rather windy but at least it had stopped raining…
I stopped and looked up, a patch of cloud cleared and I saw the stars shining so brightly. It reminded me that those times when things seem the darkest are also the times when the light of Christ can be seen more clearly.
Yesterday was a dark day for many people in France, and the darkness continues for those who are coming to terms with the loss of loved ones and the shock that such event could happen at all.
We can pray, we can lay blame or we can simply be the person God wants us to be. To look after his flock any way we can, to show our love, to give our support and most of all to make sure that Christ’s light shines in this world always (through each of us) as we pray and do whatever it is that we can for France and all those parts of our world that see turmoil on a daily basis – Christ will shine…
