This mornings worship at Scholes Methodist Church, the children had fun building a wall of shoeboxes.
They had all been made up for Operation Christmas Child, though this year there were a few extra! I think over 150…
Yesterday Charlotte and I went to New Hall Prison to collect all the boxes the women have been putting together. This morning we brought them together with the boxes the children and members of the church had made as well.
It was an impressive display of giving something to children who otherwise would have very little to look forward to this Christmas. We hope and pray the boxes will bring a smile to a lot of children’s faces, that they will be enjoyed as much as the enjoyment it has created in putting them together.
A big thank you and well done to both New Hall Prison and everyone at Scholes Methodist Church.
